2022 Charity Check-Stop Success!

The 16th Annual Camrose and District Victim Services Charity Check-Stop Was a Success!

What a great event! Camrose Victim Services teamed up with The Camrose Women's Shelter Society and The Open Doors to spread some holiday joy. We were able to fill two trailers with toys, food, toiletries, and clothes! We also generously received monetary donations and gift cards! Camrose, thank you, thank you, thank you! YOU ROCK! What an event and it was so nice to see the community spirit in action!

Camrose Victim Services would like to thank the following for making this event a success:

Thank you to the Camrose Police Service and the Camrose RCMP for your continued partnership with CAMROSE VSU. Thank you for volunteering your time to come and hang out with us, spread some joy, say hi, collect donations, and help us with the event. Your continued partnership is appreciated, and we thank you all for your dedicated service to our community.

The Camrose Womens Shelter and The Open Doors - Thank you for partnering with us for this event and coming down to join us in the cold.

New Country 98.1 FM - Thank you for coming down, hanging out, advertising the event on your station, and providing us with GREAT music for our event. It helped keep us all warm and moving.

The Camrose Booster - Thank you for sharing our event in your paper, writing about it, and snapping photos.

Farm Credit Canada - Thank you for volunteering to hand out cookies donated by your organization (they were a huge hit), wave, say hi, and spread some cheer at our event! It was lovely meeting you all.

Janaya Iverson Miss Teenager International Canada 2022 - Thank you for volunteering, saying hi, spreading joy, and participating in our event!

CRS Rentals - Thank you for letting us use one of your trailers and a heater to keep our volunteers warm and out of the cold ... even our furry volunteers appreciated it!

The Sweeterie - Thank you for the amazing treats that you provided to our Volunteers! They helped keep us full and warm. It was so appreciated and very yummy.

Starbucks Camrose - Thank you for donating the coffee - it kept us warm. It was a lovely gesture, one that was warmly received.

Camrose License and Registry - Thank you for letting us use your parking lot for the event - it was appreciated by all.

Board of Directors - Thank you to our amazing Board of Directors for volunteering your time to participate in this event, all of the planning year after year, and making this event run so smoothly. We are able to have this event every year because of your hard work in the community.

A special thanks to Cst. Tomaszewski for your hard work in planning this event, getting all the signage, connecting with other agencies, volunteering your time, and making this happen! A special thanks to Greg, one of our Board members, who did a wonderful job with the advertising, the interviews, the pictures, connecting with agencies, and spending your time getting the word out.

Another special thanks to all of the volunteers, everyone who donated, everyone who brought coffee and treats, and the community of Camrose! It really does take a village and we have one awesome community in Camrose! Here's to another successful Camrose and District Victim Service Charity Check-Stop 2022.

Merry Christmas!
